Elvie Jones serves on the LHGS Board of Directors as a representative of 1st Lutheran Church in Fessenden.

Elvie and her husband have been married 57 years, and live near Fessenden. After sewing her own wedding dress, Elvie went on to sew many wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, baptismal gowns, etc. throughout the years. She is well known for her excellent sewing abilities. Elvie said she has cut back on sewing for others, and now has more time for other things. They enjoy seeing their 4 children and the grandchildren as often as they can.

Elvie said she likes to take a day and come to LHGS and visit now that she has a bit more free time. When asked about being on the Board of Directors at LHGS, Elvie said “I learn something new every time I’m at a meeting.”
